This practice is set up for the electronic prescription service.
This means that for most patients we can send your prescription to your chosen chemist directly saving you having to come down to the surgery.
To get your prescription sent to your chosen pharmacy you will have to ask reception to sign up.

Repeat Dispensing Service
Together with some local pharmacies, we offer an electronic repeat dispensing service. This is a new way of getting medications without asking your doctors for a prescription each month. The service is not available for everyone, so if you want more information- ask your local pharmacy.
How the system works is the Doctor will issue batches of prescriptions which are sent over to the pharmacy electronically for them to issue each month (28 days). All the patient has to do is go to their pharmacy every 28 days to collect their medication. The patient will need to advise the pharmacy that they are on electronic repeat dispensing. When the pharmacy supplies the patient with the last prescription from the batch they will advise them to contact the GP surgery to have an annual review before further medication is issued. Annual reviews normally take place around the patients birthday month. The patient does not need to order their medication each month when a batch of prescriptions have been set to dispense via electronic repeat dispensing.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
For your safety, the doctor may need to see or speak to you before deciding whether to issue a prescription. The prescription co-ordinator /reception staff don't know in advance whether the doctor will authorise your request. They can only process the request through to the Doctor.
If any of your items cannot be issued, we will attempt to phone you to inform you of this. If we are unable to contact you, unfortuately, we can only let you know when you come to collect the prescription. Please esure you let us know if any change of address or phone number, including mobiles.
Consent to proxy access to GP online services
Definition: “Proxy access- a person that is authorised to act on behalf of another or the authority to represent someone else”
Note: If the patient does not have capacity to consent to grant proxy access and proxy access is considered by the practice to be in the patient’s best interest section 1 of this form may be omitted.
Proxy access application will not be accepted from any third party commercial company i.e. Insurance company or solicitors.
The practice may refuse or withdraw proxy access, if they judge that it is the patient’s best interest to do so.
Proxy Access: A person with parental responsibility may request a proxy access to their children’s records; this will cease automatically when the child reaches the age of 11. Any subsequent proxy access will need to authorise by the patient subject to a Gillick competency test being completed.
